I live in Montana and I am a great Tucker Fan. Where is the Montana Tucker located? Does the owner allow visitors?

The owner of Tucker 1011 lives in Missoula, Montana. I have tried several times to contact him to get more information on his Tucker and have had no replies. Apparently he is not interested in showing it.

I used to live in Missoula, I have a ton of contacts. Now that I know where it is I will ask my friends there. I will keep you informed on my progress. If any one has a name that would be great.

Good luck on finding the owner and getting a response from him. I know him, name and address and he has not replied to several letters I sent him so if you can get anything from him I congratulate you. All I can say is that he probably does not wish for people to "bug" him about the car and wishes to keep quiet about it.

Thank you for responding!!! What is his name, I may know him since I am a big car buff, I might be able to talk with him and convince him that it is a great car that should be shared every once in a while. I am going to Missoula in the near future and hopefully I can get a chance to talk to him.

There's probably very few people alive who know more about the Tuckers than Richard does. If he hasn't been able to convince the owner to be more forthcoming, then I doubt anyone can.

Richard defiantly is great on knowledge and I am so glad to be communicating with him. I am a born and raised Montanan and have many auto friends who have shown me their car collections that will not show them to just anyone. I have some of my cars hidden also and only me and one other person has seen and knows where my cars are, I respect anyone who values their cars and wants to have their privacy. I hope someday to chat with the owner.

IDA Automotive has some and Chick DeLorenzo was selling some as well. No idea if Chick is still building his or not.

I talked to a local here in Bozeman Montana and he does not know the Montana owner, I will try today my friends in Missoula to see if anyone knows him. I do remember when I lived in Missoula a guy who had numerous old cars in storage by the river there. I know back in the day he was getting quite old and the town was worried about what would happen to his car collection. If anyone can help with this I will be going to Missoula in a couple of weeks and would like to see if I can talk to the owner or family member. Thank you for all your help!

GREAT NEWS!!!! I found the car!!!!! The gentleman who owns it is a good friend of believe it or not my very own father!! He never told me!! I called my mother to have her ask their friends who are car collectors if they knew where the car is, while I was at work my Mom left me a message telling me that she talked to my Dad and he told her that he not only knew who had it, but that he has seen it!!!! As the day went on all I could do was think about it, then I remembered that Dad told me about the car collection, and how he told me there was some car there that was one of a few out there built in 1948, but never told me what it was! Crazy isn't it!!

I lived in Utah for 28 years, my passion and business for automobiles allowed me to have faithfull spotters all over the country searching out vehicles.

My one longtime spotter in Montana spoke with the owner of this particular Tucker yesterday for around 30 minutes, Bill told me that he is a real nice guy.

The owner stated to Bill that he has entertained very high Dollar offers for the Tucker from very prominent collectors who have big Dollar collections.
He is not interested in selling.

Thought I should pass this on as he truly does not want to be bugged about it as Richard stated above.
All the best today,
John
